Aerodynamic properties of two quinoa (Chenopodium quinoa Willd.) cultivars

The aerodynamic properties of seeds and grains are fundamental knowledge for the dimensioning machinery used in processing, storage, harvest post-harvest operations. objective this study was to determinate two quinoa cultivars within different moisture contents. BRS Piabiru Real determined their physical (dimensions density), terminal velocity, drag coefficient Reynolds number, seven content (12.1, 12.8, 13.9, 15.3, 16.6, 18.0 19.5%d.b.). Cultivar have greater dimensions lower densities than range studied. From lowest highest content, velocity varied from 2.70 3.26 m s-1 2.57 3.13 Real, respectively, while 1.91 1.42 2.77 2.44. number is positive related both cultivars. It concluded that characteristics a significant effect on grains.
